Revving the Engine for more work
I'm feeling bored with not doing any work on this game. But I'm still avoiding working on it because of the all the animation required. I'm not an animator. I'm an ADHD creative who has difficulty actually finishing one project at a time. I start so many. Well, I used to. I've got enough projects to work on that I guess I'm not gonna make any more. I've been gaming a lot to keep myself distracted from personal issues, which I've blogged about elsewhere. So no personal stuff here.
My sister brought it up in a convo last night, asking when she gets to play it. I guess I should put a demo together so everyone can see it. I can do that. The intro is a perfect demo. There's an outdoor scene, an indoor exploration, I can force an inventory scene, and I think I can squeeze in a conversation scene. The only thing missing is my motivation. How and why it waxes and wanes I don't know. No sort of scheduling seems to work. No reward systems, no nothing.
I am excited to work out the game system I made, and to create a (hopefully) flowing interface to make the experience fun.
Oh, I think I have a good idea for the demonstration convo scene. Gonna write that down somewhere.
Hasta
